CMA Development is a boutique, architecturally driven general contractor based in San Francisco, specializing in high-end residential remodels, additions, and custom homes throughout the Bay Area. Our work blends architecture, construction, and real estate development, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, clarity, and thoughtful execution.

CMA Development is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-end residential projects from preconstruction through close-out. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can drive momentum, coordinate architects, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and field teams, and keep projects moving without constant oversight from ownership. This is a senior-level project management role with primary responsibility for project delivery and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead meetings with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Drive schedule, budget, and scope alignment across all project phases
  • Identify risks, missing information, and delayed decisions before they impact progress
  • Review, negotiate, and manage subcontractor pricing and change orders
  • Maintain accurate budgets and job cost tracking in JobTread
  • Coordinate closely with field teams to ensure they have the information and materials needed
  • Review drawings, flag constructability issues, and help resolve field conditions
  • Lead project close-out, including punch lists, warranties, manuals, and final documentation

Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of experience in high-end residential construction
  • At least 3 years in a true Project Manager role with budget, schedule, and client responsibility
  • Strong GC-side experience on architecturally driven residential projects
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and trade coordination
  • Ability to read drawings, identify gaps, and resolve coordination issues
  • Strong communication skills with clients, architects, consultants, and trades
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple active projects
  • JobTread experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay: $130,000 to $160,000+ annually, depending on experience
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Health insurance contribution
  • Phone allowance
  • $500 annual continuing education reimbursement
  • Opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the company grows
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional early mornings or extended hours based on project needs
  • Travel: Local travel between Bay Area job sites required
