Lead the Field. Plan Ahead. Build with Precision.

CMA Development is a boutique, architecturally driven general contractor based in San Francisco, specializing in high-end residential remodels and additions throughout the Bay Area. We work closely with architects, designers, and skilled trades to deliver beautiful, design-forward homes with professionalism, predictability, and craftsmanship.

CMA Development is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations across active high-end residential projects. This role is for someone who already operates at a superintendent level and can manage jobsite planning, sequencing, logistics, trade coordination, documentation, and communication with confidence. Success in this position is measured by foresight, organization, and calm leadership, not by reacting to problems after they happen. • Build and maintain project schedules in JobTread
  • Develop look-aheads and sequencing plans to keep work moving efficiently
  • Coordinate subcontractors, in-house crews, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics
  • Anticipate long-lead items, constraints, and field needs in advance
  • Maintain daily logs, site photos, documentation, and labor tracking
  • Use JobTread, Slack, CompanyCam, and Google Drive as part of the daily workflow
  • Flag constructability issues early and protect schedule, budget, and design intent
  • Communicate professionally with owners, architects, inspectors, vendors, and consultants
  • Maintain clean, safe, organized, and well-run jobsites

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience as a Site Superintendent on high-end residential projects in the SF Bay Area is required
  • Proven ability to manage multiple active projects successfully
  • Strong understanding of residential sequencing, logistics, and trade coordination
  • Comfortable using construction software and digital workflows
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability under pressure
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Experience in architecturally driven residential work strongly preferred

  • Health insurance contribution
  • Car allowance
  • Phone allowance
  • $500 annual continuing education reimbursement
  • Travel: Local travel between Bay Area job sites required
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, typical start time 7:00 AM; occasional flexibility based on project needs
